1. Protect your iBanking Login ID and Password
   
1.1 Make sure your iBanking Login ID and Password are kept secret and difficult to be guessed or predicted. Do not, for example, use your birth date, telephone number or repeated numerals as combination of your password.
   
1.2 1.2 Do not use your Login ID and Password in conjunction with other internet services, such as your email accounts or other web-based services.
   
1.3 Do not transmit your Login ID and Password through email.
   
1.4 Safe keep your Login ID and Password and refrain from disclosing them to any other person. (Tai Fung Bank staff will never ask for your Password). Never disclose any of your personal information or account information even if you receive calls or emails soliciting for such disclosure. Should there be any queries, please call the Bank at once.
   
1.5 Change your Password frequently and memorize it. Do not write the password down or disclose it to any other person. If you really have to write it down, it should be camouflaged and kept away from your account name, other account information, and your computer.
   
1.6 While you are logging-in, never let your Login ID or Password be observed or made known to any other persons.
   
1.7 Notify the Bank at once should you find out or suspect that your Password has been used for iBanking sservices without your authorization.
   
   
2. Protect you computer to avoid damage
   
2.1 Install and update virus detection software to guard your computer from being infected or hacked. Avoid opening emails with attachments, even if they are sent from familiar persons.
   
2.2 Install personal firewall in your system to protect your computer from being hacked. Follow factory recommendation and select the conservative access control mode during installation of firewall.
   
   
3. Hints to utilization of iBanking Services.
   
3.1 Do not use public or shared computer for iBanking services. You may not know whether there is irregular software installed to tap in your personal information.
   
3.2 Verify that the web address is correctly for Tai Fung iBanking before entering the website.
   
3.3 Use 'Exit' button to quit the website after using iBanking services and close the web browser immediately to clear contents contained in browser buffer.
   
3.4 Beware of the last login date and time displayed after logging in and often check your account balances and statements for irregularities. Please call the Bank at once for any suspicion.
   
3.5 Do not store your Login ID or Password in the web browser. Reset the 'AutoComplete" option in the browser.
   
3.6 Reset 'File and Printer Sharing' option in your computer, especially when you are internet-connected.
   
3.7 Do not install counterfeit or source-unidentified software. You may not know whether there is hacker software embedded aiming at tapping your personal information.
   
3.8 Do not open any other websites in the browser while you are using iBanking services.
   
3.9 Enter iBanking services through https://ibanking.taifungbank.com or the hyperlink inside http://www.taifungbank.com. Do not enter through emails or any other websites which contain hyperlink to iBanking services.
   
3.10 Hang off the internet connection after web surfing. Do not keep internet connection online while you are not using your computer for web surfing.
   
3.11 If you are using wireless network or wireless tools, you should ask for security advice from your service provider.
